How Velon Energy collects, uses and protects information provided through this site.

Last updated: May 2026

This privacy policy explains how Velon Energy Ltd ("Velon", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses and protects information that you provide when you use this website at velonenergy.com.

Who we are

Velon Energy Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 8, 33–35 Courtfield Road, South Kensington, London SW7 4DB, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data collected via this website.

What we collect

We collect the minimum personal data necessary to respond to enquiries and operate the site:

  • Information you provide in the contact form (name, company, email address, message content and enquiry type).
  • Email address and message content when you contact us directly by email.
  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, request URLs and timestamps) for site operation and security.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, to provide the services you have requested, and to maintain a record of our communications. We may also use it to send you occasional updates relevant to a topic you have discussed with us, where it is appropriate to do so.

Lawful basis

Where you submit an enquiry, our lawful basis for processing your data is the performance of a contract, or steps prior to entering into a contract, at your request. For other processing we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving our site.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share limited information with our infrastructure providers (such as email and website hosting) strictly for the purpose of delivering services to you, under appropriate data processing terms.

Processors and external services

We use a small number of carefully chosen providers to run the site and respond to you. Where they process personal data, they do so under appropriate data-processing terms:

  • Form delivery — when you send a project brief, it is delivered to us through our form provider (Formspree). If you use the direct-email option instead, your message is sent from your own email client.
  • Call booking — the “view live availability” link opens Microsoft Bookings (Microsoft 365), where any details you enter are processed by Microsoft.
  • Fonts — the site loads typefaces from Google Fonts; Google may receive your IP address as part of serving them.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 (Google) in a privacy-preserving configuration. It loads only after you consent via the cookie banner, anonymises your IP address, and sets analytics cookies and shares data with Google only once consent is given. You can decline or withdraw consent at any time.
  • Hosting & CDN — the site is served through Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and content-delivery network), which processes standard connection and server-log data, including IP addresses, for delivery, performance and security.

Retention

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and maintain a record of our work, after which it is deleted in line with our internal retention schedule.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data. You can also object to processing and request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please email info@velonenergy.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
